We're treated to a true doubleheader on ESPN to cap the NFL's Week 2, and the Houston Texans (-2.5) and Los Angeles Chargers (-3.5) are the betting favorites by the Monday Night Football odds against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Las Vegas Raiders, respectively.
We'll have NFL picks for both games as part of our NFL predictions for Week 2.
๐ MNF Week 2 odds: Buccaneers vs. Texans (-2.5)
The Texans remain a home favorite against the Buccaneers in Monday night's first game (7 p.m. ET, ESPN and ABC). The spread actually swung a point in their favor from the opening betting line of 1.5m despite a Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on the road.
The Bucs beat the Atlanta Falcons on the road, benefiting from a late Falcons penalty and a missed field goal. The Over/Under of 42.5 is one of the lowest among the NFL Week 2 odds. Our Mike Spector is backing the Over with his early Buccaneers vs. Texans prediction.

๐ MNF Week 2 odds: Chargers (-3.5) vs. Raiders
The Chargers and Raiders were both victorious in Week 1, and Los Angeles enters Week 2 as the betting favorite while coming off the more impressive win. The spread has swung slightly to the Chargers, which was featured in Gary Pearson's NFL picks against the spread and early Chargers vs. Raiders prediction.

๐ฎ Monday Night Football predictions
Here are our betting experts' NFL picks for the Monday Night Football doubleheader:
Buccaneers vs. Texans predictions:
Buccaneers +2.5 (-115) via C Jackson Cowart: "Both of these teams face issues after uninspiring Week 1 efforts, but the Texans' offensive line is a concern I'm unwilling to overlook - especially against a Todd Bowles-led defense out for blood."
Over 44.5 (-103) via Mike Spector: "I get the publicโs initial reaction to loving the Under for next week, especially after Houston committed two turnovers and punted twice on its four second-half possessions in Week 1. But I am buying low on its offense, especially if it gets some key skill position players like Christian Kirk or Braxton Berrios back for next week."
Chargers vs. Raiders predictions:
Chargers -3 (-115) via Gary Pearson: The Chargers were 7-2 ATS on the road last season, 6-1 ATS as the betting favorite on enemy territory, and 2-0 ATS against the Raiders. Admittedly, this Raiders team is substantially better than last season's. Still, the Chargers appear ready to take the next step, and they should bring the Raiders back down to earth in Week 2.
Ladd McConkey to score a touchdown (+155) via Dustin Saracini: "Ladd McConkey burst onto the scene and has become one of the best possession receivers in the NFL. Justin Herbert clearly loves him, too, registering nine targets on six catches for 74 yards in Week 1. He'll find him in the end zone in Week 2."
