It’s been a tumultuous stretch for the Chicago Sky, but they’ve remained mostly competitive, which I’m banking on for my Sky vs. Aces prediction when they take on the Las Vegas Aces tonight.

The Sky will enter Sunday’s game mired in turmoil. The team suspended Angel Reese for the first half of their last game after she made some critical comments about the organization amid the team’s brutal 2025 campaign.
It’s been a tough season in Chicago despite entering with postseason aspirations. Despite that, the Sky have still found a way to keep many games within striking distance.
In their last meeting with the Aces, Chicago was able to keep things close thanks in large part to a 42-24 edge in rebounds. The Sky also grabbed 10 offensive rebounds, but were undone by poor shooting from the field and three-point range.
The Sky are second in the WNBA in rebounds per game, while the Aces are below league average. Any key to Chicago making this game competitive rests on its ability to own the boards and slow the pace.

Young has also been a different player on her home court this season, where she’s averaging 19.5 points and shooting nearly 49%, compared to 13.6 points on 44% shooting on the road.
